Schroeder started archery with the local 4-H Shooting Stars Club in the fall of 2004.  Two weeks after initially being introduced to archery she competed and placed in her first tournament.  After competing in various 4-H tournaments she continued the enjoyment of the sport by joining the National Archery Association and the local JOAD Club.  After competing in several tournaments she competed as a Cub at the 2005  JOAD National Outdoor Championships, winning the Olympic Round Silver Medal.  In 2006 as a Cadet Schroeder again won Silver at the JOAD National Outdoor Championships.
